Etiquette for Online Classes
Parents should log-in to the video call with the child’s first and last name.
The child should be appropriately dressed as if going to classes in person (example - no pajamas…).
The child should be sitting on a firm chair and table for a good posture.
The child should be on time for attending the classes.
The computer (laptop or desktop; mobile not recommended) should not be placed too far or too near; the child should be clearly visible. The video should always be “ON”. The goal is to mitigate stress on the eyes.
The child should have a quiet place with no distractions.
The child should not be eating or drinking while in the class.
Restroom breaks will not be generally encouraged.
Parents are encouraged to be close by, especially for younger grades, to help if needed with any tech-glitches.
The child should have all the needed material (for example: notebook, homework, pencil, eraser, etc.) as instructed by the teacher, ready before the class.
